Passion is Power

The power of passion can be highly underestimated these days, but it truly does have the ability to make change. While writing this newsletter we felt it quite clear that passion truley is the backbone to change, growth and new beginnings.

PIA Awards

On the 13th of May all of our hard work was recognised at the National PIA Awards. The Beaufort Street Network and the City of Vincent both received commendation in the “Great Place” category for our efforts in making a better Beaufort. With the help of the City of Vincent, Beaufort Street is now considered one of Perth’s premier destinations. However we can’t forget that none of this would have been possible without you, our passionate, caring community. Thank you for all your help and assistance in helping Beaufort become the amazing street it is today. We are so happy with how far we have come and we hope you will continue to help us in our efforts. Join Salsa’s Mt Lawley in their support of Cystic Fibrosis.

On Friday the 29th of May Salsa’s will be participating in 65 Roses Day a day dedicated to supporting for those living with Cystic Fibrosis. The event was called 65 roses after a story form the 1960’s about a little boy who miss heard his mother talking about the illness, the term has been connected to the illness ever since. Cystic Fibrosis affects the lungs and digestive system of children and young adults today. Without consistent therapy and medical assistance the illnesses can take the lives of these young children. Salsa’s has decided to support Cystic Fibrosis Australia by selling roses and donating $1 from every transaction on the 29th. Salsa’s encourages you to come down and grab something to eat and help them in raising money for this life threatening condition.

UnchARTed Collective launch

UnchARTed Collective launches their fantastic store on Saturday the 30th of May at 5:30pm. UnchARTed Collective, established by local Mt Lawley artist Sioux Tempestt, Unites the amazing work of WA most original artists. The store consists entirely of original handmade products ranging from homewares and edgy art pieces to fashion accessories. The launch has so much to offer guests including a prize pack of original art, art auctions and the opportunity to meet the artisans behind the wonderful store. You will also have the chance to watch artists work on the large mural that will be visible on the South side of Gallery Building on Beaufort Street. Guests can be a part of all of this while sipping boutique beers by brewers and sponsors Gage Roads and listening to DJ Beche Peche.
