We have recently deployed these in a mango orchard in Bataan Province and you can read a brief article about this below. Also in this issue, we are announcing De Leon Import Export Corporation (ODELCO) as ICT International's partner and authorized distributor in the Philippines. Finally, please let us know if you are interested in furthering your knowledge on topics like plant water relations, real-time monitoring of plant, soil, water and environment, and IoT-connected sensors. We hope everyone is keeping safe! IoT-connected sensors and solutionsEarlier in the year, we introduced our IoT-connected sensors through the 2021 IoT Catalogue. This has gained a lot of attention from various sectors - academe, industry and government. Please read story of IoT-enabled sensors installation in the Province of Bataan further below. IoT-connected sensors provide near real-time data from sensors deployed to monitor various aspects of plant growth, soil properties, water quality and the physical environment. These sensors are integrated into IoT nodes and packaged with powering solutions. These Sensor Node IoT Packages (SNiPs) provide off-the-shelf pre-configured monitoring solutions. SNiPs can be expanded to incorporate multiples of the base sensor or customized to include other compatible sensors and accessories. Explore these SNiPs below: For more information on the ICT International range of IoT-connected sensors and solutions, please contact ICT International: sales@ictinternational.com.au Philippine Carabao Mango orchard goes IoTA new project that will determine water use of mango in the Philippines is taking shape in an orchard in the province of Bataan. Bataan is dotted with mango orchards that supply carabao mango not only for local consumption but also across neighboring provinces and the metropolitan capital, Manila. The project is spearheaded by Bataan Peninsula State University with funding support from the Department of Science and Technology Region 3. The project, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, installed sap flow meters, stem psychrometers, dendrometers, soil moisture probes and a weather station on IoT Nodes. Real-time data are stored in a cloud-based server and can be displayed in a web-based platform. Check out a sample of the real-time data using this online dashboard. The project is a first of its kind and aims to further the local and national adoption of precision agriculture and smart farm technology in the Philippines.
