Building Inclusion: Charitable Funds Help Construction Firm Diversify Its Workforce

Commercial construction firm Lease Crutcher Lewis is doing its part to make the industry more inclusive of women and other underrepresented populations. The employee-owned firm has deep roots in the Pacific Northwest and more than 300 salaried workers. Author and scholar john a. powell spoke recently to OCF volunteers, staff, board members and community leaders about belonging and “othering.” He said these two concepts are essential to understanding the strife and tensions we face as a nation and as a world.
