Welcome to the LBP newsletter

Kia ora

Welcome to another edition of the LBP newsletter for 2025.

Winter has well and truly set in across the country and I hope you’re managing to keep warm.

This edition of the newsletter has your regular skills maintenance articles. Just a reminder that the fastest and easiest way to submit your skills maintenance record is through the portal.

Complete your Skills Maintenance

We have also highlighted some recent complaint decisions made by the Board, I encourage you to have a read of these and take note of the learnings from them.

This newsletter also includes two opportunities to work more closely with the LBP scheme. An opportunity to become a Building Practitioner Board member and an opportunity to become an LBP assessor. Please feel free to share with anyone who may be suitable for either of these opportunities.

Take care, work safely, and thank you for taking the time to read this edition of the newsletter.

Registrar of Licensed Building Practitioners
