Volunteer Roundtables in 2021!!!
We are so grateful for each of you that serve the ministry through volunteering. We also know it can be challenging and there are often questions that come up. This year we are rolling out a series of Volunteer Roundtables.
These will be one-hour sessions with up to 20 volunteers meeting with ministry leadership via Zoom. There will be ministry updates, discussion on how to handle tough topics, information on developing conversation trends, open Q&A as well as a chance to pray together.
We are currently announcing four sessions on different days and times to try to accommodate as many of you as possible. We plan on doing these throughout the year as things develop and new updates with further discussion are warranted. The dates/times for these initial Volunteer Roundtables are as follows:
Thursday January 28th 10:00 AM CST
Tuesday February 2nd 7:00 PM CST
Saturday February 13th 10:00 AM CST
Wednesday February 17th 3:00 PM CST
If you wish to attend one of these roundtables, then simply send your name and the session you prefer to chris@needhim.org. We will let you know if there is space available and confirm your attendance with a link to the actual Zoom meeting.
Volunteer Prayer Team!!!
As a ministry dedicated to prayer, we want to expand that focus to include a Volunteer Prayer Team. Each member of the team will be committed to dedicating time to pray multiple times per week for seekers, other volunteers, Need Him Global and other partner ministries. The team will also meet monthly via Zoom to pray together with members of the ministry team.
We all know there are hard conversations that happen in ministry and many volunteer notes and prayer requests that are quite heavy in nature. Because of this, and the time it will require, we encourage all volunteers that are eligible to pray about this opportunity before applying.
All volunteers in good standing, with at least 6 months of experience with Need Him Global, are eligible to serve on the team. We also ask that only those that can serve a full six-month term on the prayer team apply. Every six months we will evaluate new members for the team and talk with existing members about whether serving another term is best for all involved.
You can send your name and a brief explanation about why you want to be part of the Volunteer Prayer Team to prayer@needhim.org. We hope to launch the team on March 1, 2021 so please indicate your interest no later than February 17th.
ANNUAL MINISTRY RECERTIFICATION PROCESS
Wednesday, February 17, 2021
As those of you who have been here for a while will recall, we have an Annual Recertification Process for each of our Volunteers. On Wednesday, February 17th, as part of the login process, the system will require you to certify your agreement with both the Code of Conduct and Statement of Faith. This process will take just a few minutes and MUST be completed prior to taking conversations. Once you have certified your agreement with both statements, the system will require you to log back in.
