Dear Women's Auxiliary Board, Happy July! Jacque Delkus, our Women's Auxiliary Board President, has chosen Ephesians 4:2-3 as our theme verse for the 2023-2024 year. Ephesians 4:2-3 reads: "Be completely humble and gentle; be patient and kind, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." My prayer is that Ephesians 4:2-3 is reflected through our support for DBU, rooted in a deep sense of purpose and love. May our efforts contribute to the growth and success of the university, empowering students to pursue their callings, develop their God-given talents, and make an eternal impact in the world. DBU All-University Prayer Requests Enrollment - Please pray for our new students who have already been accepted and have paid their deposit that they will continue to
feel confident about their choice to come to DBU. The more connections a prospective student has to DBU, the more likely they are to start classes in the fall. Pray for our faculty and staff who are calling and writing notes of encouragement to all our new students.Student Affairs - Pray for our Student Affairs staff as they pray and plan for the new school year. This division provides services to students outside the classroom in areas such as housing, health, activities,
recreation, extracurricular organizations, discipline, and spiritual growth. Pray that they will also be able to rest and reenergize in preparation for this new academic year, which starts next month. Summer Classes - Please pray for our students taking summer classes that they will be able to manage the faster pace of these courses and will enjoy what they are learning. Pray for their professors as they balance both teaching and preparing for the fall
semester.
Volunteer to bring housewares, new or used, to help furnish apartments for our international students for the fall semester. Students moving from other countries need basic housewares to cook, sleep, and live in their new DBU apartments. Suggested items include dishes, cookware, silverware, glasses, sheets, towels, utensils. Email leslie@dbu.edu to arrange to drop off items this summer.
Scholarships are always a great way to support DBU. Students are transformed personally by receiving a Christ-centered higher education at DBU but need help financially. To contribute, go to www.dbu.edu/give. Choose "Student Scholarships." You may also send a check in the mail to Dallas Baptist University, 3000 Mountain
Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
