Click here Indonesia needs more money to eradicate tuberculosis Based on the 2021 statistics, there are 759 people infected with tuberculosis per 100,000 people in Indonesia, more than double the World Health Organisation's standard. The country aims to reduce tuberculosis cases by almost 75% to 190 per 100,000 people next year. By 2030, Indonesia targets to bring down the number further to 65 cases per 100,000 population. Despite such an ambitious target, our latest article explains that it is less likely for Indonesia to meet the target due to the limited funds available. The author suggests Indonesia triple the funding to US$3 billion to fight the disease. Indonesia's current TB-related budget is less than $1 billion.
Warmest, Ika Krismantari
