An update on the new Ōtautahi Christchurch organics processing facilityAt the last Community Liaison Group meeting, the community requested a timeline showing how the new Ōtautahi Christchurch organics processing facility in Hornby will develop:
Read more about the new facility. Ecogas currently operates an anaerobic digestion plant in the North Island (pictured above). The new facility in Hornby will be a whole new type of plant – fully enclosed, in an area zoned for this type of work. All processing will be completed indoors, with controls in place to effectively manage and contain any odour from the waste. The date of the next Community Liaison Group meeting is Tuesday 21 May. The agenda will be circulated closer to the time. A reminder you can find previous CLG agendas, reports and minutes, newsletters and more here.
