EVENT  RECAP

Social Sundowners and Find Cancer Early Updates!

The PHPN hit the road in March to reconnect with health professionals in Paraburdoo, Tom Price and Onslow during our Social Sundowners.

We were also delighted to welcome Lenore Irvine, Regional Education Officer for the Cancer Council WA in the Pilbara, who provided a brief update on the Find Cancer Early guide.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and helped make these events such a valuable and enjoyable experience!

Education Dinner – Diabetes Connect Series: "Being Smart About the Heart"

Presented by Endocrinologist Dr Gregory Ong and Diabetes Educator Tara Savage, the event provided valuable insights into the link between diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Attendees explored the latest treatment recommendations, virtual care programs for individuals with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, and the range of diabetes services available in Karratha.

The evening concluded with a delightful dinner at the Karratha International Hotel, offering attendees a chance to network and connect.
