Turkey is strengthening its ties with Somalia, expanding investment in the country’s defence and energy sectors. These efforts are part of Turkey’s broader strategic goals in the Horn of Africa. Federico Donelli, who has studied Ankara’s strategy in the region, explains how changing power dynamics in the Horn have created an opportunity for Turkey to benefit from the moment.
