A Fond Farewell to Scott Rubenstein

Scott started making up stories after reading a nursery rhyme about soldiers fighting in the bed covers. He was a teacher in the Peace Corps, stationed in the Philippines. Upon his return, he taught in Sacramento.

He won a writing contest at 20th Century Fox, which brought him to Los Angeles to join their comedy writing workshop, launching his TV writing career.

Scott wrote over 30 episodes for 10 different TV series, including Star Trek: The Next Generation.

He will also be remembered as the funniest accountant in Los Angeles.

Condolences to his wife, Devorah Cutler-Rubenstein, accomplished artist. writer, teacher, and two-time Now Write! contributor, who invited Scott to join her in contributing his wit and wisdom to Now Write! Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror. His exercise is available here and on the Contributors' page.
