Greetings from your Community BoardMessage from the ChairWelcome to our February newsletter. We're currently drafting our 2020 - 2022 Community Board Plan which outlines our vision and priorities for the Linwood-Central-Heathcote community. This Plan will guide our decisions on local activities, projects and facilities over the next three years. We'd love to have your feedback. Linwood-Central-Heathcote draft Community Board PlanWe're drafting our 2020 - 2022 Community Board and have identified several priority areas that we'd like to focus on over the next three years. We want to know if you agree with our proposed priorities and we'd like to hear any suggestions and feedback you may have. Tunnel drilling to start next weekFrom February 17, our contractors will start drilling a hole under the Heathcote River and Ferry Road roundabout to install a section of wastewater pipeline. Once the drilling programme is complete, we'll need to close the westbound lane of Ferry Road, from St Johns Street to the Ferry Road roundabout, to allow our team a safe space to work. Ferry Road closureFrom 8pm Saturday 29 February until 10am Sunday 01 March, the westbound lane of Ferry Road from St Johns Street to the Ferry Road roundabout will be closed to traffic for 14 hours. The eastbound lane of Ferry Road will remain open. There will be plans in place to allow residents access to their properties and clear detours and traffic management in place. If we need to extend the road closure or move the timeframe for these works, teams on the ground will communicate directly with affected residents, and clear Traffic Management will be in place. You can also check the Transport for Christchurch Facebook page for traffic updates. Water restrictions introduced across Christchurch city Level 1 water restrictions have been introduced across Christchurch from today to ensure the Council can keep supplying a fair amount of water while keeping enough in reserve for fire-fighting. Have your say on the Radley Park dog agility areaWe have two options for the final layout of the dog agility area and we would like your feedback on your preferred option. We want to hear your view on our plans for Cumnor TerraceA proposed plan to make a section of Cumnor Terrace in Woolston one way to allow for a footpath is open for community feedback. Head over to our Have Your Say page to make suggestions or comments. Proposals received for Woolston Village upgradeTenders have now closed and we're reviewing submissions from contractors. We've received some excellent proposals and expect to announce our lead contractor next month. We'll then invite the community to come along to a Meet the Contractor session.
