Whistler Blackcomb Updates

Whistler and Blackcomb Mountain are both scheduled for winter operations through to April 14.

April 15, Spring ski operations will continue on Whistler Mountain.

April 15, Blackcomb Mountain will close for spring maintenance and to begin the Jersey Cream project, with the upgrade to a 6-passenger high speed chairlift.

Whistler Mountain Bike Park is scheduled to open Friday May 17 with the new Fitzsimmons Express lift, and is scheduled to operate through to October 14. whistlerblackcomb.com

Mountain Skills Academy's priority is delivering a full rounded memorable experience for all budgets, from the most modest to the fullest luxury. From British Columbia’s rugged wilderness to pristine turquoise crystal lakes, from capped peaks and valleys to the highs of rainbow glacier caves, they promise on delivering the most panoramic views and lasting experience.
Ice Cave: Breath in a 60 min scenic mountainous helicopter flight from Whistler flying over the formations of ancient glaciers. You will then be walked through an interpretive tour by a highly trained guide within multiple tunnels of azure blue crystalline formations and impressive vaulted ceilings of ancient remote ice caves.
Ice Cave & Volcano: Appreciate a 75 min scenic mountainous helicopter flight from Whistler to the ancient Mount Meager Volcano. A quick flyover of the Volcano to admire the view of deep cavern venting steam fringed by dramatic backdrops. Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre Special Exhibitions
The Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) – the heart of Whistler’s authentic Indigenous experience. At this First Nations Museum and Art Gallery connect with Cultural Ambassadors as they share stories from two distinct Nations the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and the Lil̓wat7úl.
Fighting for Justice – On the Coast | Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Lil̓wat7úl, showing until March 31, 2024. Featuring a travelling exhibition on the history of Fighting for Justice on the Coast from Vancouver Island University, alongside stories from the Squamish Nation and Lil’wat Nation curated by Mixalhítsa7 Alison Pascal (Lil’wat Nation).
100 YEARS OF UNITY, showing until May 2024. Curated by Tsawaysia Dominique Nahanee (Squamish Nation) and assisted by Mixalhítsa7 Alison Pascal (Lil’wat Nation) – the exhibit celebrates the defining time when the Squamish Nation was amalgamated, bringing together sixteen families throughout the territory and strengthening the people through unity. Displaying weaving, carving and historical belongings, the exhibit gives the viewer an overview of the history of the Squamish Nation, connection to land throughout the territory, Siy̓ám̓ – Hereditary Chieftainship and today’s elected council members and their roles and responsibilities listening to the voice of their people and representation to benefit the community as a whole. slcc.ca
