Welcome to the December newsletter
Dear
As the year draws to a close, the last few months have epitomised just how supportive our alumni community continues to be, with a remarkable range of graduates returning to inspire our students. We had a record number of alumni back for Journalism and Media Week and, as you'll see below, more incredible support for other events recently, too.
We feel very blessed to have such amazing support from so many alumni and we look forward to engaging with you again in 2023. But for now, we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Christmas, restful festive period and every success for the new year.
As in previous years, the University will be closed from 5.00pm on Thursday 22 December until Tuesday 3 January 2023.
On behalf of everyone at Leeds Trinity, thank you all once again for everything you have done to support us this year.

Celebrating our winter graduates
We are very proud to have celebrated with our latest graduates this month during our winter graduation ceremonies. Despite it being very cold, the latest round of success stories and happy faces warmed the whole campus up.
Many congratulations to everyone who has just graduated and a very warm welcome to our alumni community. Amongst our graduates, we featured some incredible stories of how they have overcome adversity, achieved lifelong ambitions and been part of successful University projects. Read more.

Women in Sport alumni panel
At the end of November, Leeds Trinity hosted a Women in Sport event to inspire nearly 150 local school pupils to follow their dreams.
We had a number of exceptional guest speakers throughout the day, including an alumni panel to conclude the event.
The panel included Charlotte Robinson (Sports Development and Physical Education, 2008), Kitty Scott (Sport and Exercise Sciences, 2017), Lizzy Campbell (Sports Development and PE, 2013) and Grace Moore (Exercise, Health and Nutrition, 2019). The whole event was coordinated by graduate and staff member Ammarah Pandor (Sport Psychology, 2020), who is our Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer.

Alumni Business Network speakers inspire audience
We were delighted to welcome three inspiring alumni panelists back for our 2022 Trinity Alumni Business Network meeting. Tim Hodgson (Theology and Public Media, 1997), Natalya Stecko (English and Media, 2019 and MA International Business 2020) and Zee Faridi (Secondary PE and Sports Development, 2016) spoke about 'making an impact at every stage' in their careers.
They all shared their top tips, how they have made a difference and demonstrated their strong values in everything they do. See more images.

Featured alumni – Frank Jackson
One of the things we enjoy most is when our alumni return to campus for a visit and tell us about their fond memories of studying at Leeds Trinity.
Over the last few years alumnus Frank Jackson (Class of 1977) has visited us a few times and told us so much about his time and also his family's strong connection with Leeds Trinity.
The picture above shows Frank (on the left) with his brother Terry (a telecoms engineer who used to service the campus). Frank's other brother, Michael, engraved the plaque on the wall of the Chapel.
Frank is Managing Director of the award-winning Connemara Irish Pub in Bordeaux. In 2018 the pub won the Irish Pubs Global Award for the Best Entertainments Venue in Europe.
