Bringing Festive Fun to Westgate Street for Small Business Saturday 💙

Gloucester is set to come alive on Small Business Saturday, as we host a festive celebration designed to draw families, shoppers and visitors into the heart of the city.

The Festive Fun event will “activate” Westgate Street with a Christmas Create & Make session for children, face painting, a cheeky elf and entertainment, including Gloucester Excelsior Band. Plus, you can win a prize on the Shine a Light on Local ‘Spin to Win’ wheel. All aimed at showcasing and supporting the city’s vibrant independent business community.

The ‘Shine a Light on Local’ campaign, running throughout December, is a heart-warming initiative that spotlights the businesses, charities, and local people who make Gloucester city centre truly shine.

This month, we're shining a light on local businesses in a special way, with a series of festive interviews and photoshoots featuring our giant Christmas bauble.

From independent shops and much-loved eateries to inspiring community champions and charitable organisations, we’re celebrating the people who bring warmth, joy, and togetherness to the city throughout the festive season.
