💖 A Heartwarming Moment in Our Bushland
There is great kindness amongst us, and we just had to share! On Saturday, 24th January, one of our volunteers lost their wallet while exploring the bushland. Imagine their surprise and gratitude when it was later returned—personally and anonymously by its thoughtful finder(s)! Moments like these remind us how special our community truly is.

If you were the helpful and honest person who found the wallet, we would love for you to reach out via coolbiniabushland@gmail.com so we can properly thank you. Your kindness has made a real difference, and we want to celebrate it!

Welcome Back, Everyone!

Welcome back to school! I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable long break and are feeling refreshed and ready for a new term.

It has been wonderful to see our school come back to life this week. We have had a great start, with lots of smiling faces, positive energy, and students settling back into routines so well. I am very proud of how everyone has returned ready to learn and do their best.

A big welcome to all our new students and families. We are very happy to have you join our school community. To our returning students, it is fantastic to see you back and ready for another exciting term together.

This week is just the beginning of many great learning moments, friendships, and achievements ahead. Let us continue to be kind, respectful, and supportive of one another as we make this a wonderful term.

I am looking forward to a fantastic term of learning, growth and fun together.

Information Evening

At the beginning of Term One we hold a Parent Information Evening. You will then be invited to your child’s classroom where your teacher will provide information about classroom procedures and agreements, routines, practices and what to expect in the year ahead. We encourage all families to attend to ensure you have a common understanding of expectations and to enable your teachers to answer any general enquiries. It is also the perfect opportunity for families to introduce themselves and get to know one another. The provisional date for the information evening is.

Tuesday 10 February 2026 at 5pm PP- Year 2

🚲Safety Reminder for Students on Bikes 🚲

Dear Parents,

When students ride their bikes near the houses in our neighbourhood, drivers reversing from driveways may not always see them. For the safety of all children, please remind your child to slow down when riding along footpaths near homes.

⚠️ Key Points to Discuss with Your Child:

  • Ride at a safe, controlled speed near houses and driveways.

  • Stay alert for cars entering or leaving driveways.

  • Always wear a helmet and follow general bike safety rules.

Thank you for helping us keep our students safe while they enjoy their rides!

Upcoming events and promotions

Term 1 - Tennis

After-school kids programs at Mt Lawley and North Perth Tennis Clubs start Monday. All before-school @Schools tennis lessons begin the following week on Monday 9 Feb.

All players have been automatically re-enrolled from Term 4 to Term 1. If you do not plan to continue, please email me ASAP so I can remove you from classes and avoid an invoice. During the first 1–2 weeks, coaches will review groups and may move some juniors if needed. Most players progress together, and there’s no rush to move up ball colours developing skills at the right level is key (even Kyrgios played red ball until age 9).

Term 1 invoices will be emailed later this week. All Lesson & Play groups will have winner and runner-up trophies based on points/games accumulated over the term.

Netball Training Announcement

We’re also looking to grow our club and will soon be sending out an Expression of Interest (EOI) for new players of all skill levels. Please email to coolbinianetball@gmail.com with your child’s name and year group.

Donation Bin

Got unused pens, folders, or notebooks lying around?

From 9-16 February, we’re teaming up with Give Write to collect unwanted stationery outside reception. Your donations will be repurposed and passed on to students who need them supporting education and reducing waste. It’s a simple way to make a real impact.

Let’s clean out those draws and help others gear up to learn!
