Dear Flower Friends,

Every single day we're reminded of how different this business is, loving, laughing and at times crying at the daily shenanigans. While most see the end result, the pretty truck of flowers, the in between is hard and not for the faint of heart. Everyday I never know what challenges lie ahead. 

One fine Saturday for example as I loaded up Rosie with the most gorgeous blooms, I had an extra skip in my step. For Rosie, our eldest in the fleet of happy had just completed an engine rebuild. In the past, she had a reputation for stinking up the joint with her gassy ways and this new engine was so needed. She also had more pep in her step and I was excited to take her out on the road. I even gave her a little hello tap and told her today is your kind of day with the crisp cool air, being "air cooled" and all.

Well, that extra step was cut short at just 5 minutes in to our fun filled drive as she decided to shut off as we got into 4th gear. Thankfully we coasted into a parking lot where I sat for a moment, tried to restart her and then just contemplated my next step and life. There's always a brief moment where I question every single thing, like what are you doing, why are you trying to keep these OLD vintage VW's running and why are YOU driving them and trusting them to work! Maybe a few explicit words were tossed around and then quick action took over.  The mechanic was called, I ran back to the warehouse where I woke up Daisy, ran back to Rosie and did a switch-a-roo. Funny side story (there's always so many stories) the whole time I'm swapping between trucks, multiple people stopped to buy flowers or just talk VW.  I should have opened up right there to sell! One guy even asked to sit inside Rosie while another asked to see the engine. We did make it to our destination 2 hours later and our customers waited, which is remarkable! (THANK YOU!) Rosie is going to fine by the way, something silly and she's already back on the road.

I know one day my time behind the wheel of a Posies Flower Truck will become less and less and possibly even stop as we continue to bloom as more people join our team and as we expand to more locations. Let's face it, age is also creeping in, I'm not some youngster, though the joke around the shop is I will be 90 something still driving a Posies Flower Truck around Tampa Bay. I should be so lucky! 

Thank you as always for your continued support and love, we feel it with every single pretty stem you select. Your constant photos, horn toots, waves and excitement at the sight of finding a Posies Flower Truck out "in the wild" or "inside at Armature" never ever gets old.  The being different part of this business is and will forever be a part of it, I don't see that ever changing, nor would I want it to!
