This year the Crofton House Community celebrated 25 years of the Golf Classic. The Golf Classic has a rich history. The tournament was initially an alumnae event thanks to the dedication and commitment of alumna such as Debbie Pippen ’71, Jane Gray ’73 and Cathy Christopher, ’73. Since 2000 the tournament has become a full Crofton community event and includes parents, alumnae, and friends of the school.

This year’s event was a great success - the Golf Classic raised $321,495. All funds will go towards the lighting of Kent Field, a project scheduled to be completed by 2024. Both the dinner and the tournament itself were sold out and its popularity remains at an all time high! A special thanks to all the alumnae who attended and thank you to the Golf Committee and all the volunteers who helped make the Golf Classic such a success.

This year Crofton House has hosted a ton of successful reunions. From the Class of 1963 to the Class of 2017, so many different classes had the opportunity to reconnect, visit campus, and celebrate together.

If you would like to book a reunion for your graduating class, please email alumnae@croftonhouse.ca to begin the process.

Alumnae shared with us valuable feedback that helped us look ahead towards future initiatives. Based on your feedback, Crofton House is planning to use the month of June 2024 to welcome alumnae to campus through a series of different events, including a long-in-the-making CHS Alumnae Homecoming - stay tuned for more news!

This non-paid work experience helps CHS students in Grade 11 and 12 gain insight into the careers of alumnae and explore different types of vocations while testing their passions and interests.

If you have a project at your business for a Senior School student we would love to hear from you. This work experience can be done both in-person or virtually, and is a tangible way to connect with the school, support students and play a role in shaping their future.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the 75 alumnae who volunteered as evaluators for this year’s Capstone Program.

We hope that you enjoyed connecting with the students and learning more about their projects. Many of you have been loyal volunteers to this program for years on end so thank you for your involvement in this initiative.

We are excited to announce that Rebecca Marino ‘08 has received the Harry Jerome Comeback Award this year from Sport BC. Rebecca’s perseverance and philanthropic spirit continue to show through.
