This award is a meaningful way to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of women in our community. If you know someone who has championed gender equality or empowered women, I encourage you to nominate them today. There’s also still time to get your nomination in for the Local Citizen of the Year awards. Help us uncover deserving citizens who generously donate their time and effort to help others and improve Ku-ring-gai. Nominations close this Sunday 14 December. Youth events and activitiesLeading up to Christmas we have some fun workshops for 12-24 year olds including robotics and AI, e-bikes, art, ping pong and intergenerational kitchen. Ku-ring-gai LibraryCreate, explore and be entertained in our libraries with coding and Lego clubs, craft-a-noons, construction play and Dungeons and Dragons gaming. Summer golf clinicsOur junior golf clinics will hone those chipping, putting and golf etiquette skills. Your sayCharles Bean Oval surface renewalCouncil is seeking community feedback on the renewal of the synthetic turf playing surface of Charles Bean Oval, Lindfield. The oval’s current synthetic turf surface is nearing the end of its useful life and requires renewal in the near future.
Dual Occupancy Development Control PlanCouncil invites comment from the community on the amendment to the Ku-ring-gai Development Control Plan to insert a new Draft Part 5: Dual Occupancy. This will include. development controls for dual occupancy dwellings.
Proposed road closure – Denley Lane, Durham Avenue, Cowan LaneCouncil has received an application to close and purchase Council owned road off Mona Vale Road at St Ives.
Acquisition and Divestment of Land PolicyThe Acquisition and Divestment of Land Policy is being publicly exhibited before being adopted by Council. The changes include updates in legislation and minor wording amendments.
Park Avenue, Gordon - proposed raised pedestrian (wombat) crossingCouncil is proposing to replace the existing ground-level pedestrian crossing on Park Avenue (west of Werona Avenue) with a raised 'wombat' crossing.
