Student Applications and Student Visa Fee Update
During the past few months, we have seen a noticeable change in the number of students wishing to start their studies in Australia due to the ongoing changes and continued focus by the Australian Government regarding the education sector. During this time, we have noticed that visa refusals are mainly from Colombia, Mongolia, and Vietnam and this is why it is critical that each visa application is packed with genuine supporting information and full financial disclosure etc. The application must be detailed and provide clear outcomes for the applicant’s future and intentions. We must avoid weak submissions and scant detail with no direction.
On a positive note, there has been an increase in students commencing studies with us via other visa options such as tourist and working holiday, wishing to access English language studies. As we know, they can study 3-months (13-weeks) on a tourist visa and 17-weeks on working holiday visa, subject to limitations but this does give them options compared to the traditional student visa.
From Monday July 1st, the student visa (500) application fee has increased from $710 to $1600 for future students. Please refer to the press release outlining the reasons for the increase.
It’s Promotion Time
Our 10% discount on tuition fees went live on Monday 10 June and is accessible to future and current students for studies in Perth and Sydney.
Here are the details.
- 10% tuition fee discount for all courses and timetables and
- for applications made from Monday 10 June to Friday 30 August 2024 and
- to be paid by Friday 22 November 2024 and
- starting studies on or before Monday 10 March 2025
- All other fees, such as enrolment and material fees apply, and this discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts/promotions.
Yes, it’s that simple, just stick to the dates and the discount applies.
This is fantastic way to lock in future and extending studies with us and obtain a 10% discount.
Staff Update
I’m delighted to confirm that Camila de Sa will join Navitas English as the Recruitment Manager for Perth – LATAM and Europe in August. I will send updated contact details to our partners based in Perth and offshore specialising in the LATAM and European markets. Until then, please do reach to the team below.
Marketing and Compliance Packs and FAQs
We have updated both packs for you to review and share with your team. The consolidated files give full access to all the documents you need when counselling future and current students. The agent pack no.07 is packed with quick links on slide 35 and the compliance and training pack has updates about the Genuine Student Requirements.
The FAQs have been updated with the latest change, which is closure of two pathway options from July 1st. Visitor Visa and Temporary Graduate Visa holders will no longer be able to apply for Student Visas onshore.
Homestay Fees
For stays from January 1, 2025, new fees apply which are accessible on the agent download section on the website. Please access these fees if you have a student wishing to access accommodation via us in 2025.
Campus Activities
SYDNEY HYDE PARK
Just a recap of our adventures from April to June 2024 at Navitas English Sydney Hyde Park! We've explored the Maritime Museum, enjoyed sand volleyball, hiked Bondi to Bronte Beach, delved into the Chau Chak Museum, toured University of Sydney, visited Taronga Zoo, competed in a Spelling Bee, practiced yoga with our student Julia, and strolled through VIVID Sydney.
PERTH
What a blast we have had over the past few months! From excursions to Fremantle and the Perth Mint, to table tennis tournaments and BBQ’s. Our students were able to really experience the culture and lifestyle here in WA! Come join us on our next adventures here in Perth!
What’s needed to get a Letter of Offer
The key to obtain a Letter of Offer quickly, is to ensure the student application form and supporting documents are provided to Navitas English Admissions team at the same time, together and complete.
Whilst we know this can be challenging, failure to submit a completed application form and all the documents including but not limited to a copy of the passport, Genuine Student Requirements and financial documents will cause a delay in processing. Check out the guide and video.
