Lincoln Road water and roading upgrades

We're upgrading the wastewater, water and roading infrastructure on Lincoln Road, between Wrights Road and Curletts Road.

Our contractors, Isaac Construction, started work in early June and are now two months into the year-long package of work.

We're making steady progress, with the water upgrades on Domain Terrace finishing this week. Some road works will follow as the project progresses.

Over the next few months, work will continue on the south side of Lincoln Road where crews will be installing new pipes and widening the road to make space for the new peak-hour bus lanes.

Service upgrades on track

Alongside the water and road works, we are coordinating several service upgrades along Lincoln Road. Combining all these elements into one programme will help reduce disruption and get the work done as quickly as possible. 

New streetlighting
Over the last few weeks, we've been installing new streetlighting along the south side of Lincoln Road. This work is almost finished.

Power lines moving underground
This work is progressing well, with the new cable laid along the south side of Lincoln Road earlier in the month. The week starting Monday 24 August, Orion and their contractors will switch over the power supply to the underground cable. This will require some planned power outages. If your property is affected, you will receive advance notice from Orion or their contractors. You can also keep up to date by checking Orion's outage map.

Fibre phone and internet cables
Contractors are laying new fibre internet cables and working with their customers to complete their new connections. If your property is affected by this work, your phone and internet providers will be in touch. 

Drop in sessions

Got a question or concern? Isaac Construction is holding regular drop in sessions for anyone interested in having a chat about the project. 

The next session will be held on Wednesday 19 August at The Waiting Room Cafe, 30 Lincoln Road. You can stop by anytime between 8am and 10am to see the team.
