Santa Parades
Whangamatā Christmas Fair 11am, Saturday 13 December Williamson Park, with the parade kicking off at 1 pm along Port Road, featuring live music, food, markets, and family fun.
Extravaganza Fair Buffalo Beach, Whitianga 26-28 December 2025 Williamson Park, Whangamatā - 3-4 January 26 The Extravaganza Fair is a unique market/festival across New Zealand which is free entry for Children and Gold Coin Entry for the adults. You will find market stalls, arts and craft, food, musical entertainment and kids shows, talented musicians playing sweet tunes for your ears, and shows running throughout the day where your children can shine like 'Stars' and get involved.
Gypsy Fair - Whangamatā 1-3 January 2026 The Gypsy Fair is a nationwide travelling event, bringing family fun & an unbeatable vibe to each town. Travelling NZ for 45+ years, its safe to say our roots run deep. Free entry for all.
Keltic Fair - Coromandel Town 2 January 2026 The Keltic Fair is one of New Zealands most successful fairs and the highlight of the Coromandel holiday season.
Come to enjoy a full day of entertainment, kids rides, yummy food and a world of arts, crafts and great value fair shopping!
Coro Classic 3 January 2026 Experience New Zealand's best upcoming artists at the Coro Classic, a boutique music festival in Matarangi. Enjoy world-class performances in an intimate outdoor setting, supporting the local community and showcasing the beauty of the Coromandel.
Cooks Beach Summer Gala 4 January 2026 The Cooks Beach Summer Carnival raises funds for Whenuakite School and is held at the Central Reserve, Cooks Beach on 4 January (every year) from 9am to 2pm
Hāhei Market Day 5 January 2026 Join us for the annual iconic Hāhei Market Day in the beautiful Kotare Reserve. There are 120 stalls - featuring mostly local art, crafts and produce.
Wings and Wheels - Thames 24 January 2026 Thames Wings and Wheels is organised by a group of car and plane enthusiasts, in association with the Thames Vintage and Classic Car Club and Hauraki Aero Club, and in partnership with the Thames Business Association.
Harcourts Big Arts Day Out 24-25 January 2026 Celebrating artists from the Coromandel, Waikato & Bay of Plenty, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression through the theme "North East South West". From captivating paintings to thought-provoking sculptures and edgy contemporary installations, audiences can expect a feast for the senses in this inspiring showcase of talent on display and for sale. Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January, 10am to 4pm . Markets Our local markets are buzzing this season, bringing together the best of Coromandel creativity and flavour. Wander through colourful stalls filled with handcrafted goodies, locally grown produce, delicious food, and an ever-changing array of treats to discover. It’s the perfect place to meet the makers, support small businesses, and soak up the vibrant community spirit that makes our region so special. Coroglen (Gumtown) Markets - Sundays 9am - 1pm - Gumtown HallA fabulous farmers market for you to buy local organic produce, homemade goodies and crafts. Coromandel Town - Wharf Road, Coromandel - Fridays, 8.30am - 1pm An array of local and homegrown produce and crafts for sale. Organic and gluten-free options. You will be spoilt for choice. Tairua Market - Tairua Memorial Hall - the first Saturday of every month In addition to a good range of seasonal produce fresh from local growers, this market offers handmade preserves, baking and confectionery, and locally made small goods. The selection of handmade crafts make great gifts, from classic wooden toys, organic soaps, knitted garments and quilts, to plants, artworks and jewellery. Thames Market - Pollen Street, Thames Held every Saturday from 8am - 12pm in Grahamstown. You'll find locally produced plants, fruit and veg plus bric-a-brac, second hand goods and books, arts and crafts, fine food, cheeses, specialty oils and much more. Little Big Markets - Williamson Park - Whangamatā A huge range of gourmet street food and food truck vendors, as well as a curated selection of stallholders for you to peruse... you won't be short of things to do. Whangamatā Sunday Market - Sundays - 620 Port Road - 9am - 1pm Held in the heart of Whangamatā township. Selling arts, crafts and produce. Whiti Citi Markets - Soldiers Memorial Reserve - Saturdays 8am - 1pm Held weekly on a Saturday morning. Your opportunity to purchase some beautifully made local crafts, art and homegrown produce from the Mercury Bay Area. |
