Crafted by Christchurch-based architects Warren & Mahoney and international stadium design experts Populous, the four design images provide an external view of how the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena (CMUA) will sit on the site and a more detailed internal illustration from the stands during a sporting event. January 2022 - Council approval sought on Preliminary Design package and documentation. April 2022 - Council approval sought on Developed Design. June 2022 - Final bid and Design & Construction contract recommendation. July 2022 - Design and Construct contract appointment, followed immediately by construction commencing.
