Running from 9-17 October, Queensland Mental Health Week (QMHW) 2021 is shaping up to be an exciting week full of awareness, information, and celebration.

 

There is still plenty of time to get involved and 'Take time - for mental health', so read on for all the latest QMHW news! Then, visit the website to download a range of resources to help you plan and promote your event, including posters and social media graphics.

 

Once you’ve worked out what you want to do, we’d love to know about it. By registering your event you'll be joining the statewide QMHW community and get your own event page. Even if you're holding a private event, we encourage you to register to show your involvement.

Event grants close soon

It's time to finalise applications for the QMHW Community Events Grant Program! There are three amounts available ($500, $1000 or $3000) with applications closing on 30 June.

 

The program is funded by the Queensland Mental Health Commission and administered by CheckUP.

Hosting a QMHW event is a great way to bring people together to 'Take time – for mental health'.

Calling all artists! Registrations close soon

Artists with a lived experience of mental illness, carers, family members and those providing voluntary support are invited to register for the 2021 Recovered Futures Art Exhibition. Proudly hosted by Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ), entry costs $11 per person.

 

Hurry! Registrations close on 27 June.

Nominate for the 2021 QMHW Achievement Awards, hosted by Open Minds, to help recognise and celebrate the achievements of individuals, groups and organisations working tirelessly to reduce stigma and support and empower those living with mental illness.

Join us in spreading the word about QMHW and in turn the importance of good mental health and taking care of your wellbeing.

The free online Forums on our website are full of people who want to connect. They understand because they’ve been there too. Plus, it’s anonymous, so you can say what’s really going on.
