Karratha Health Campus visit.

The Pilbara Health Professional Network hosted a pop-up stand at the Karratha Health Campus on 5 December 2022. Thanks to all the WACHS staff that came by and joined the network.

  • South Hedland - Friday 10 February 2023 | 9.00am-4.00pm

Join us for a wound care workshop presented by Beth Sperring (clinical nurse consultant) and Donna Larsen (nurse practitioner) from Royal Perth Bentley Group who will demonstrate how to assess and manage chronic and acute wounds.

We will discuss dressing selection, compression therapy and bandaging. Case studies will be utilised for discussion and provide participants the opportunity to ‘touch, feel and apply’ many of the dressing products currently in use. Please bring some of the dressings you currently use. Interaction is encouraged so come prepared to discuss and further develop skills in the management of wounds.

Karratha venue: Karratha Health Campus 62 Balmoral Rd, Karratha.
Hedland venue: Hedland Health Campus 2-34 Colebatch Way, South Hedland.
Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Supporting the disability workforce to grow, connect and thrive.

Launching in 2023, the Remote Ready Program will focus on those working with disability clients in remote communities and will involve:

  • Participant networking mentorship
  • Personal/professional development workshops
  • Online modules

The City of Karratha in collaboration with Headspace Karratha invite you to join them to acknowledge and reflect on January 26 at the Youth Shed 23 Hillview Road, Pegs Creek.
