As always, you can contact us if you would like to share your views on health and social care in Barnet.Healthy HeartOur Healthy Heart team have been busy collaborating with peers in Barnet’s African, Caribbean and South Asian communities to promote heart health. On 13 March, we were delighted to host an event bringing together statutory and community partners. This was a lovely opportunity to celebrate everything we have achieved together, and to plan next steps for the Healthy Heart project - see photo above. A big thankyou to everyone who attended, especially our external speakers - Hawa Abdi from the Somali Centre of Excellence, Neena Patel from Barnet Asian Women's Association and Candice Bryan from Barnet Council. In other news, in the last few weeks, our Healthy Heart team supported the Meritage Centre's well-attended International Women’s Day celebration. We also ran a heart health workshop for the Single Homeless Project, and plan to run a further session with them on healthy eating. We're delighted the Healthy Heart project has secured funding until January 2026, and are currently planning a number of activities for the coming year.
