This year, the Season of Prayer is scheduled for 5 to 19 October, and, as in previous years, the theme is ‘Lord, renew your church'. Lutheran school principal Ms Jodie Hoff will be the new Executive Director of Lutheran Education Australia from January 2026. The founding principal of Lutheran Ormeau Rivers District School in Queensland, Jodie will succeed Associate Professor Lisa Schmidt, who has served as Executive Director since 2019. Read more

The conference in Raleigh–Durham, North Carolina, brought together more than 450 church musicians, pastors and worship leaders. Read more Last month, Pastor Tanya Wittwer (St Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Adelaide) and Emma Hansen (ALWS Community Engagement Officer) represented the Lutheran Church as part of an ecumenical delegation of women leaders to Parliament House in Canberra to advocate for a greater Australian aid commitment.
