We're excited to announce that our annual Skills Competition kicks off tomorrow, Saturday, March 8th, at Conard High School! Here are the key details:

  • Registration: Begins at 12:30pm in the gym lobby. Players must wear their uniform to participate.

  • Events Start: 1:00pm sharp.

  • Events for Minors (3rd-4th Grade) and Juniors (5th-6th Grade):

    • Team "Kick the Cones" Competition
    • Individual "Knockout"
    • Individual "Hot Shot"

    Please review specific rules on our website.  Click this hyperlink to view rules and information about the SKILLS COMPETITION.

  • Seniors Division (7th-8th Grade):

    • 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament (1:00pm, small gym)
    • Followed by "Hot Shot" Competition in the main gym.
  • Awards: Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in Knockout and Hot Shot. Medals for Kick the Cones winners. Trophies for 3-on-3 tournament champions and runners-up.

  • Award Ceremony: Please be advised that the Award Ceremony is the day after the Skills Competition.  The Award Ceremony is Sunday, March 9th, immediately after the Seniors Division Championship Game (10:30am start). Players must attend the Award Ceremony and be in uniform to receive awards. No exceptions, no substitutions.  Players cannot receive their award unless they attend the Award Ceremony.

  • Daylight Saving Time: Remember to set clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night.  We don't want you to miss the Championship Games or Award Ceremony!!!

Also, please note that there will be other players receiving awards at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday.  One player (chosen by the team's coaches) from nearly every team in the league will receive a Kathy M. Doyle Sportsmanship Award.  In addition, one player from the entire Seniors Division will receive the Jim Biukus - Most Improved Player Award as voted on by all of the Head Coaches in the Seniors Division.  We will also provide a $1,000 University Scholarship Award!!!
