Cotton Australia Chair Liz Stott, Board members Daniel Kahl, Gavin Dal Broi and April Cavanagh, along with CEO Adam Kay and General Manager Michael Murray spent the past few days in Canberra conducting a range of meetings and engagements with senior government ministers, members of the Opposition and key water agencies. Cotton Australia has developed two new practical resources to help growers improve on-farm safety and maintain key myBMP standards – an Emergency Card and a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Card. Three Brisbane content creators visited the Darling Downs as part of a Cotton Australia initiative to share how Australian cotton is grown and build trust with urban audiences. The visit included farm and gin tours and conversations with Darling Downs growers, with creators now sharing their experiences across their own platforms. Cotton Australia’s recently hosted a webinar updating key initiatives underway as well as issues discussed at the recent General Meeting in Sydney.
