New Announcements

REMINDER: Are you graduating in Fall 2022? If you believe that you are eligible to graduate in Fall 2022 you must submit an Application to Graduate. All students must complete the online application to initiate the graduation review process. You must apply to graduate even if you do not plan on attending the Commencement ceremony. If you have any questions about your degree audit and/or where you stand with the completion of your requirements, please contact Steven Dominguez, at sdominguez@sju.edu. The deadline to do this is December 1, 2022. HERE are instructions on how to do this in the Nest. Interested in taking an elective that addressed Toxicology of Drug Abuse? (3 credits)-please contact Dr. Mercier (imercier@sju.edu)! This interdisciplinary 3-credit course allows students to explore topics related to the toxicity of deliberately ingested, inhaled, or injected materials used to alter the psychological state. Pharmacy Majors (including U1 through P4)ASCP Conference Guest Speaker Event! Join American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) on Monday 11/28 at 4 pm in Wilson 209-212 for our guest speaker event! Students who attended conferences in Indianapolis, IN and San Antonio, TX will be sharing their experiences and tips on how to get the most out of future conferences. Your opinion needed for decisions about University City campus! Student input is very important on all surveys, but this data will help inform needs and resources for the University City campus moving forward, so we need YOU! Please fill out the National College Health Assessment, which was emailed to all full-time students on Tuesday 11/8 (you may have received additional reminders since then as well). Each student received a unique link to complete the survey. The NCHA is a comprehensive survey covering physical health, mental health, substance use, resource insecurity, safety, and healthy habits. In addition to contributing to decision-making, you can win prizes, including Apple Airpods, bullet blenders (for healthy smoothies!), SJU basketball game tickets, and a 'free' campus parking ticket. Observation about the Navajo People from a P4 Student! We continue to celebrate Native American & Alaskan Native Heritage Month by sharing an observation from a P4 student who completed an APPE at an Indian Health Services facility in Crownpoint, New Mexico. "The Navajo people are kind and humble people who continue to overcome immense adversity. From my time at IHS, I've learned that Navajo Native Americans greatly cherish their traditions, some of which include jewelry crafting, fry bread, family, and faith." Posted by Dr. Thomas. 11/14

Event for P4 Students Interested in Attending Midyear! Are you planning to attend the ASHP Midyear Conference in December? Come to the faculty panel event and learn about how to best prepare for the largest pharmacy conference!
