*New* Deadline to Submit Supervisor-Approved Thesis
The official calendar states that the last day for graduate students to submit their supervisor-approved thesis, in examinable form to the department is March 1, 2023. This deadline has now been changed to APRIL 1, 2023. Other Dates & Deadlines March 29, 2023
Last day for summative tests or examinations, or formative tests or examinations totaling more than 15% of the final grade, in full winter term or fall/winter undergraduate courses before the official April examination period (see examination regulations) in the General Regulations of the Graduate Calendar. CIHR Invests $3M in Health Research at CarletonCarleton University researchers have received over $3 million from the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), a single-round record for CIHR funding for the university. The funding will support projects developing solutions to the prevalence of diabetes, chronic pain, gut health disturbances and brain injuries.

The ISSO has licensed immigration advisors who are available to support international students. Our team of professionals will be hosting virtual drop-in sessions on March 31 and April 12 where students can have their questions addressed live. Students who have questions about their Post-Graduation Work Permits are encouraged to attend our April 17 information workshop to learn how you can remain in Canada after graduation and get Canadian work experience. CRIW's 2023 Early Career Researcher Conference: Call for Proposals
The Early Career Researcher Conference is an online, multidisciplinary conference hosted by the Centre for Research on Inclusion at Work (CRIW) to be held on June 19, 2023. Scholars exploring workplace inclusion-related issues among traditionally underrepresented populations, will come together to present their research and exchange ideas. The deadline for proposal submission is April 26, 2023. Submissions should be sent to mailto:criw@carleton.ca with the subject line “Early Career Conference submission.”

CTAG Calls to Action Consultation
The department of Equity and Inclusive Communities is conducting a consultation on the Carleton Trans Advocacy Group (CTAG) Calls to Action to better facilitate their implementation on campus. The results will be used to inform an action plan that supports the well-being of trans and
gender diverse people at Carleton. Students, staff and faculty are invited to share their written feedback in this online survey by April 12, 2023. Additionally, there will be two virtual meetings for individuals to give verbal feedback. The March
24, 2023 at 1 p.m. session will be closed exclusively to trans and gender diverse people (registration link here) and the March 28, 2023 at 6 p.m.session will be open to all members of the Carleton community (registration link here).

Ravens Make History With Double Championships!
The Carleton Ravens made history on Sunday night becoming the first set of men's and women's basketball programs to win both U SPORTS national championships since 1985. The Ravens basketball teams become only the third program to ever win both championships in the same season, marking the first time the feat has been accomplished by a school outside of British Columbia.

Are you interested in strengthening your ability to communicate your science to the general public? Would you like to meet other graduate students across the country who are passionate about science communication? ComSciCon is a series of workshops focused on enhancing communication skills and fostering an inclusive community that can effectively communicate scientific information to academic and non-academic audiences. This year, ComSciCon Canada will be holding a National Workshop (ComSciConCAN) from July 28 to July 30 at McMaster University. The conference is offered at a low cost for selected attendees. The application deadline is April 2, 2023.
