So my friends, remember this when your service goes unrecognized and gratitude is not gushing in your direction. As deacons there's often a very good, godly, gracious reason for that. It's something that God has made true of you. Something that qualifies you to be a Deacon in your church. It is your readiness and willingness to serve apart from applause, apart even from gratitude from men.
