Political tumult surrounding the Biden administration’s policy toward Israel has given pro-Israel American Christian leaders concern about flagging U.S. support for its ally. In April, a group of 157 Christian leaders, including NRB executives and NRB members, came together under the banner of American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI) to address President Joe Biden in a letter regarding his administration’s posture toward Israel.
Signers included NRB president & CEO Troy A. Miller, NRB executive vice president Dr. Linda W. Smith, and several NRB members, including Dr. Susan Michael, U.S. director of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), Gary Bauer, senior vice president of the James Dobson Family Institute, and Star Parker, president and founder of CURE Policy and member of NRB’s executive committee.
Judy Isaacson Elias is Supporting Veterans in Healing “Crisis of the Soul”
Judy Isaacson Elias, an associate NRB member and the founder and CEO of Heroes to Heroes, is helping veterans heal from the invisible wounds of war, particularly what Elias calls “moral injury”—the damage to one’s conscience after experiencing traumatic events.
Elias’s own connection to war trauma began with her father, a World War II veteran who participated in the Normandy invasion, the Battle of the Bulge, and the liberation of a concentration camp. Although his military service took place before his daughter’s birth, Elias experienced the long-term impact on their family life firsthand.
