PLS Self-Nominations Now OPEN!!

If you are interested in applying for Phi Lambda Sigma, the Pharmacy Leadership Society, please read the attached document to see the outlined process. The link to the self-nomination form is included in this document. Any student P1-P4 that is nominated by self or peer will receive an application in the beginning of the Spring semester. If you feel that you are deserving to be inducted into PLS, please fill out the form. You do not need to have multiple leadership positions to be deserving of a nomination. Leadership is shown through many different ways, so self-nomination is highly encouraged! The self-nomination form is due Friday, December 13th @11:59pm. Operation SUD Holiday Bake Sale Fundraiser!

Have an end of the semester sweet tooth? Stop by SCCP’s Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s Bake Sale to get a sweet treat to reward yourself for all of your hard work this semester. Phi Delta Chi presents a hot chocolate bar with TONS of toppings. All proceeds from the hot chocolate sale will go towards our philanthropy St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

China 2025!

Over the holiday weekend, the US State Department eased its travel advisory for China from Level 3 to Level 2 (which is good news!).

If you want to get more information about the proposed summer 2025 trip to Nanjing China, review the slides and recording of the meeting. After reviewing the information and talking to decision-makers in your life (like parents), please complete this no-obligation interest survey to get your name on a list to receive more information (early in the new year) Faculty on the trip will include Dean Foote, Dr. Bin Chen and Dr. Laura Waite! Events and General Announcements

 

The PCP Gala is set to take place on Saturday, February 22nd in the Foley Center on Hawk Hill. The gala would include: Dinner, DJ/dancing, photo-booth and 3 beer/wine tickets (21 years and older). Transportations between campuses will be provided. So mark your calendars. The cost for the gala is to be determined. 

 

UMR - Gift Bag Assembly Event! Volunteers wanted!

UMR is excited to announce that we are planning an event to assemble small gift bags for charity, specifically we are donating to Philadelphia Fight Community Health Center! We are planning to host this event on the UCity Campus in STC 137 from 1-3pm on 12/5/24. We will be providing free boba for the first 30 people! Please come out if you can! Professional Opportunities

 

PharmD and BS Students! AFPE Gateway to Research Awards. Internal review due January 7, 2024!

The American Foundation for Pharmaceutical Education (AFPE) has released its call for the 2024 Gateway to Research Awards. These are prestigious and competitive grants for BS and PharmD students. Since each College of Pharmacy can only submit two awards, there is an internal review process. Click the button below for more information on the grant and how to enter the review process. The internal deadline is January 7th and those selected (notified by Jan 13th)  will need to submit to AFPE by January 24th. Posted By Dean Foote. 11/25
