Indira Naido, a passionate advocate for environmental and food sustainability and one of Australia’s most popular broadcasters and authors, is helping us launch the Seed Library. Come along! Electrification Rebates

From solar panels, batteries and EV chargers to induction cooktops, reverse-cycle air conditioners and rainwater tanks, Council will support you to reduce your emissions and in turn, your energy costs.

Sustainable House Day
Sunday 4 May is Sustainable House Day, an opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most inspiring homes.
You can browse homes online by state, category, or via their interactive map. Whether you’re interested in solar passive design, natural building materials, or energy-efficiency upgrades, this day offers a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.
There are also tickets for in-person tours for over 150 homes – with a few within a 30-minute bus ride from Lane Cove!
Reduce Waste Costs with BinTrimBin Trim is a fantastic resource to help businesses reduce waste and hefty waste charges. Simply sign up for an account, complete a visual waste assessment, and receive a tailored action plan. Access up to $50,000 in funding with an equipment rebate when you complete a Bin Trim assessment (eligibility criteria applies). Solar Your Strata! Want to save up to $600 each year on your energy bills? NSW Government 'Solar Your Strata' grants are available now. Designed to help residents, including renters, to reduce energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions – the grant program will fund 50% of the cost of a shared solar photovoltaic (PV) system on eligible apartment buildings and other multi-unit dwellings in NSW, up to a value of $150,000. If you're unsure whether solar is suitable for your building, you can book a free consultation through the Lane Cove ‘Ask an Expert’ program – find out more on our Council Website. |
