State of the Raven - June 29 to July 12, 2026

Fall/Winter 2026-2027 Registration

Timetickets for fall/winter 2026-2027 registration are now available in Carleton Central.

Registration for fall/winter 2026-2027 opens based on pre-assigned timetickets starting Fri. July 10, 2026 for returning students. View the class schedule and registration course planning tool in Carleton Central (log in through Carleton360). Fall term registration closes on Tues. Sept. 22, 2026, but it is a good idea to register when your timeticket opens to secure your preferred schedule.

If you need help with registration, the Student Registration Assistance team is available to support you! The SRA team can assist with building a conflict-free timetable, navigating Carleton Central and more.

 

Important Dates

Wed. July 1, 2026: Statutory holiday. University closed.

Thurs. July 2, 2026: Late summer courses begin.

Wed. July 8, 2026: Last day for registration and course changes (including auditing) for late summer courses.

Fri. July 10 to Wed. July 15, 2026: Fall/winter registration opens for returning undergraduate students based on pre-assigned timetickets.

Refer to the academic year calendar for all upcoming important dates.

 

Student Parking Permits

Student parking permits are prioritized for specific groups, including students with U-Pass waivers, accommodation considerations, students living in Residence, those with on-campus jobs and student athletes. Students who are not eligible for priority parking can join the student permit waitlist through their ParkAdmin account. Please note the updated waitlist opening date is Fri. July 10, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.  

 

French Language Placement Tests

All students interested in taking French courses at Carleton University this fall are required to take an online French Language Placement Test before they register for the first time. It’s a good idea to take the placement test before your registration timeticket opens, as you'll need your test results to enroll in French courses. Join the FYC Peer Mentor Program for Fall 2026

Applications for the First-Year Connections (FYC) Peer Mentor Program for fall 2026 are now open!
As an FYC Peer Mentor, you will be paired with first-year students to provide guidance, share resources and help them get connected during their first weeks on campus. For more information and to apply, visit the First-Year Connections application portal. The application deadline is Fri. July 17, 2026.

Brightspace Login Page Changes

Your journey into Brightspace now looks a bit different. Don't worry, courses haven’t moved, but there is a new dual login screen requiring one extra click to get to your dashboard. Simply click the "MyCarletonOne (MC1)" button, which will take you to the familiar, secure institutional login page where you can enter your MC1 credentials.

 

Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge Temporary Closure

The City of Ottawa will temporarily close the Rideau River Pedestrian Bridge from Mon. July 6 through Mon. July 13, 2026 for crews to perform necessary work. Sections of the pedestrian pathways on Carleton's campus near the bridge will also temporarily close as city crews will need access from our campus. Please respect all traffic, pedestrian signs and barricades.
