SH76 Brougham Street upgrade

SH76 Brougham Street upgrade

13 March 2023

Greater Christchurch, we need your help!

This isn't an update on Brougham Street, but as I know you're interested in transport, I thought you may like to give your views on an exciting new project Waka Kotahi isinvolved with for Greater Christchurch.

The Christchurch, Waimakariri and Selwyn districts are growing fast. We are on track to double our population to 1 million in the next 60 years (if not earlier) - that's a lot more people living in our communities and moving across our roading network

One suggestion is a ‘turn up and go’ service that could run from the central city, north to Belfast and west to Hornby. It could have its own lane, go past every few minutes, and have zero emissions. Check out the turn up and go video that explains all about this idea.

Have your say at www.greaterchristchurch.org.nz. On the site there is a survey where you can share your thoughts on our ideas for growth and transport in the future.
