Indicators of teenage career readiness: An analysis of longitudinal data from eight countries Catalina Covacevich, Anthony Mann, Cristina Santos, & Jonah Champaud This paper looks for further evidence of the link between teenage activities, experiences and career-related thinking and adult career outcomes by analysing 10 new datasets from eight countries. Overall, the results of this paper find further evidence that secondary school students who explore, experience and think about their futures in work frequently encounter lower levels of
unemployment, receive higher wages and are happier in their careers as adults. The findings of this paper are analysed together with the evidence from the two previous working papers of the Career Readiness project, concluding that there is international evidence to support 11 out of the 14 potential indicators that were explored as indicators of career readiness.
Rethinking skills gaps and solutions Luke Bocock, Juan Manuel Del Pozo Segura, & Jude Hillary Our research insights point towards the importance of a collective response from across government, industry, the education system and wider society to addressing skills gaps in the current workforce and ensuring young people
enter the labour market with the EES that employers require. The consequence of inaction is likely to be that these Skills Gaps continue to widen, limiting individuals’ employment and earnings opportunities and the performance and
productivity of organisations.
Designing for Education with Artificial Intelligence: An Essential Guide for Developers Miguel A. Cardona & Roberto J. Rodriguez This guide provides non-regulatory, education-specific guidance that is aligned with federal guidelines and guardrails. This guide’s coverage of existing federal guidelines and guardrails is not comprehensive or exhaustive. It is not intended to and does not enable a developer to establish its compliance with regulations. Also, it is not intended to and does not introduce any new
requirements.
We believe no child should be constrained by stereotypes or the expectations of others. We know that if young people hear firsthand about the world of work, they work harder, get better grades and are more likely to break down barriers. They should have the chance to start as early as possible, and that is why we launched the national I am #InspiringTheFuture campaign.
