Intended programme for next week (weather dependent, therefore subject to change)

Owens Place  A contra flow remains in place during pavement works in the verge next to HomeZone. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February to Saturday 9 February 2019. Nights & days: ongoing.

Matapihi Road A pedestrian diversion is in place near Golf 360 during water relocation works. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February to Saturday 9 February 2019.
Nights & days: ongoing.

Site wide Semi statics will be deployed during site wide road sweeping. No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February 2019. Nights: 9pm to 4am.

SH29A Semi statics will be deployed at the Baypark roundabout during removal of street lights.No traffic delays are expected. Sunday 3 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

SH2 & SH29A Truck and trailer movements through site access points to move construction plant and deliver materials. No traffic delays are expected. Monday 4 February to Friday 8 February 2019. Days: 9am to 4pm.

SH2 - northbound Semi statics will be deployed while completing the tie-in between the new and existing road, from Jackson Street to Concord Ave. Very weather dependent. No traffic delays are expected. Monday 4 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Matapihi Road (south) & Owens Place Lane closures will be in place while milling sections of new road, in preparation for asphalting. No traffic delays are expected. Monday 4 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Matapihi Road & Owens Place Lane closures will be in place while laying asphalt on new sections of road on Matapihi Road, between SH2 and the rail crossing. The Owens Place entry will be closed from 10pm. Very weather dependent. Minor traffic delays are expected. Thursday 7 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

SH2 - northbound (TEL) Semi statics will be deployed during line marking near the Te Maunga intersection. No traffic delays are expected. Thursday 7 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am.

Long-term traffic management
• State Highway 2 between Te Maunga roundabout and Concord Avenue - narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.

• Matapihi Road, adjacent to the golf driving range – narrowed lanes and a 30km/h temporary speed restriction is in place for the duration of the project.

• Girven Road, near the Bayfair roundabout - narrowed lanes are in place for the duration of the project and the right-turn from the Bayfair Shopping Centre car park onto Girven Road is permanently closed.

• Access onto State Highway 2 / Maunganui Road from Exeter Street is closed for about 18 months. Resident only access.

• SH29A near Baypark – narrowed lanes and a 50km/h temporary speed restriction are in place for the duration of the project.


Advanced notice of significant works

SH2 & Matapihi Road Lane closures will be in place while a new road alignment is implemented. This involves moving: Matapihi Road traffic south onto the new road; and SH2 traffic, between Jackson St and Concord Ave towards the golf course. Minor traffic delays are expected. Sunday 10 February to Thursday 14 February 2019. Nights: 7pm to 6am
