Over the past 12 months, we have been merging all our Churchwide eNews lists into just one – this one, LCA eNews. As always, we welcome your suggestions for improvement.

On Saturday, more than 870 people sent a bright message of hope from Brisbane to children and families displaced by war in Ukraine. Walkers and runners stepped out in the ALWS Walk My Way Ukraine event, which – thanks to the help of participants, volunteers, sponsors and other supporters – has so far raised more than $175,000. Read more

Nominations for positions on the boards, councils, commissions and committees of the LCANZ are now open. Appointment to these governance bodies is for a synodical term. Governance body members who wish to continue in their role also need to submit a nomination before 30 June 2024.

The LCANZ is calling for responses to the Religion and domestic violence: Exploring men’s perpetration report. A response document, available for download here, is structured to guide respondents through the report. Responses close on 31 May 2024. All submissions will be treated confidentially.

With the LCANZ Convention of General Synod now less than five months away, it’s time to check that your congregation and delegate/s are up to date with preparations for this important churchwide event. It is also time to submit nominations for positions on the church’s boards, councils, commissions and committees, which must be done by 30 June.
