A new School of Public Health study by Jacey Greece and James Wolff evaluated the long-term impacts of practice-based teaching on students, faculty, administration, and collaborating agencies to determine if the reported benefits of the pedagogical approach outweigh the challenges.

 

RESEARCH

Racial Disparities in Child Gun Violence Exposure Worsened during COVID

Childhood firearm violence exposure increased for almost all non-White racial groups during the pandemic, according to a new study led by Rachel Martin and Jonathan Jay. The highest rates of gun violence exposure occurred among children in the South, but racial disparities in gun violence exposure were greatest in the Northeast and Midwest.
