Making waves at the Margaret River Pro

While the world’s best surfers captivated audiences at the Margaret River Pro, boardrider clubs from across WA gathered for a different kind of impact — championing mental health and wellbeing.

In
partnership with Surfing WA, Healthway is equipping community leaders with the tools to foster supportive, connected clubs where conversations about mental health and wellbeing are encouraged and embraced.

These conversations were led by Surfing WA, The World Surf League, 20Talk, Country Football WA, SportWest, and the University of Western Australia as part of our Mental Health in Sport Community of Practice — transforming isolated efforts into a cohesive movement for greater change.

West Coast Fever LiveLighter® Round

Healthway's partnership with West Coast Fever has achieved something remarkable: zero unhealthy sponsorships at the elite level of netball in WA.

On May 10, we held our annual LiveLighter® match at the RAC Arena, promoting healthy habits to Fever fans. Preventative Health Minister, Sabine Winton MLA, joined in the fun at quarter time by kicking off the on-court giant fruit salad activation. We also welcomed hundreds of Fever fans at the pre-game activities in Fever Alley.

Round 11 of the WAFL and Round 12 of the WAFLW marks the return of the Think Mental Health Round — an initiative we've proudly supported alongside WA Football since 2022.

This round is about raising awareness and sparking conversations around mental health and wellbeing among fans, players, coaches, volunteers, and staff.

Join us at your
local match in late June and be part of a movement that champions mental wellbeing in sport and our community.
