North Harbour BMX facility opens

Local riders were joined by NZ Men's Champ Cody Hobbs to test their skills on New Zealand’s first international standard BMX track. The track is part of the new $4.5M North Harbour BMX facility delivered by the Northern Corridor Improvements project.

An official opening was held on 6 November at Hooton Reserve where North Harbour BMX club has been relocated to. The new facility is the first of three world class facilities which are being relocated and improved as part of the project.

The project team will be taking a break for Christmas on Friday 21 December and starting work again on Monday 7 January. The project office and visitor hub at 10 Rothwell Avenue will be closed during this time.
