Welcome Quakers, With New Student Orientation (NSO) kicking off in less than 10 days, our staff wants to remind you about upcoming events and deadlines coming up before and after NSO. The week of NSO is packed with events that prepare you for your Penn career! Take a peek at some of the many programs that you have to look forward to! This schedule includes events that start on Monday, August 22 for specific populations. Traditional NSO will be held from Wednesday, August 24 to Monday, August 29. Check your personal NSO schedule by entering your 8-digit Penn ID on your Penn Card on our website. Be sure to check back each day during NSO for your most updated schedule! Sign Up For PennTracks Tours! PennTracks Tours are free guided tours around the city of Philadelphia, led by our Peers Helping Integrate New Students (PHINS) student leaders. A list of stops on the tour can be found on our website here. Sign up for a tour to get to know your home for the next few years! NSO Preceptorial Sign-Ups Are Open! Penn Preceptorials are one-time, not-for-credit sessions that introduce students to the intellectual and cultural resources of the University. NSO Preceptorials will occur on Saturday, August 27 from 11am-2pm for first-year students. Preceptorials will run typically from 60-90 minutes and can be offered more than once in the time blocks. A list of sessions along with a sign up sheet can be found through this link. TAP Reminder Phase I: Currently live; Completion Required by Friday, August 19 Here is a reminder to complete Phase I of your Thrive at Penn (TAP) module, due on Friday, August 19. Throughout your undergraduate career, TAP will be available through Canvas, Penn’s learning management system.
