Graduation Sunday

Ben Achammer is graduating from Wheaton Warrenville South High School. In the fall, he will be attending Illinois State University, majoring in Geography/Computer Science.

Ethan Woods is graduating from Glenbard South High School. In the fall, he will be attending Purdue University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Veronica Giordano is graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Engineering. She is the granddaughter of Anthony and Barb Giordano.

Abby Ridgway Johnson graduated from the DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) graduate school program at UIC on May 5th. She has accepted a position with PT Solutions working with outpatient Orthopedic and Vestibular patients. She will be continuing her education with a residency program and certifications, and hopes to work with pelvic health patients in the future.

We mourn the passing of Diane Maller. She passed away on Monday, May 2nd.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 15th from 1-6pm at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL. Interment is private.

The Gift Card Fundraising organization has changed its name.
Their website is now www.RaiseRight.com, to match their mobile app RaiseRight. Functionality is now the same on both platforms, including Wallet, Favorites, and Ship to Home.

For the time being, the old website (www.shopwithscrip.com) will be redirected to the new one. Your usercode and password will remain the same and your family order history has been preserved.

The Missions committee is looking for someone to lead the Annual Shopping Cart Brigade for the Wheaton 4th of July Parade. Other committee members are willing to help but are unable to attend the parade. Please contact Eric Walsh or John Adams if you are able to lead the brigade! Thank you.

Since we are fully open and worshiping together in person, we would like to have greeters welcoming people again. Would you be able to commit to one (1) Sunday a month for a few months? Sunday, June 5th - Pentecost. We will be sharing a joint worship service with Christ Tamil Church. Note that our service time for June 5th is 11am - there will not be a 9:30am service that day. We will have a joint potluck meal after the service. More details to follow!

Sunday, June 12th - Ms. Susan's last Sunday! We hope that everyone whose life Susan Wold has touched can attend this special service as we see her off into retirement. 

Our pastoral search committee is in the process of compiling the Church Profile. Dorothy Peterson is leading the effort to get your input via cottage meetings/focus groups. Available sessions:

St. Matthew will be sending a group of volunteers to Biloxi, Mississippi this fall to work with Back Bay Mission. Volunteer opportunities include worksite construction, painting, helping in the food pantry, assisting clients at the Micah Day Center, and preparing food at Loaves & Fishes soup kitchen.

The cost for the trip is $250 per person, which covers the cost of accommodations (dormitory style) in the volunteer Mission house on the Back Bay campus. If you are interested or would like to know more about the trip, look for the sign-up sheet in the narthex. A final count needs to be submitted by August 1st.

Registration is open for our 2022 Vacation Bible School, "God's Garden."

Dates: June 6th-10th, 9am-noon
Friday, June 10th, 7pm, Family Ice Cream Social

Ages: 3-4 (must have completed one year of preschool) and K-5th grade (Completed grades k-5)

Cost is $30 per child ($60 family maximum) before May 30th. $35 per child ($70 family max) after May 30th.
