Roadworks over the upcoming Waitangi Day long weekend

All non-essential roadworks will pause for the Waitangi Day long weekend with contractors shutting down sites from midday Thursday 5 February until midnight on Sunday 8 February.

You may still see some of our crews out on the roads repairing potholes, responding to incidents, or carrying out essential work. Some long-term sites may also have ongoing restrictions in place.

If you're planning on travelling over Waitangi Day weekend, please remember to check our Journey Planner for the most up to date information.
