COVID-19 Update: Residents and Families of Calvary Cessnock

I am writing to inform you that no additional positive COVID-19 cases have been identified amongst our most recent round of testing with residents in our Elrington, Windemere and Mount View households.

We will continue our testing regime with residents over the weekend under Public Health directions, and will update you on these results as soon as they become available. We anticipate our next update to you will be early next week

For the safety of all residents and in line with Public Health Unit advice, the current restrictions remain in place. Elrington and Windemere residents will remain in, and be cared for in their rooms until deemed safe to lift restrictions on their movement about the home.  COVID positive residents are isolating and receiving all care in their rooms.

Although there are no restrictions for residents of the other households in the Nulkaba group, the whole site remains closed for general visitation until the Public Health Unit deems it safe to reopen.

As always, visitation exceptions can be made for residents receiving end of life care and for compassionate visits. Please contact the home manager to make arrangements.

Please contact the home to book a video call with your loved one, or if you have any concerns. Care packages for your loved ones may also be left with security. Please label them clearly.
