Faithville Productions is Raising Young Disciples in the Digital Playground Doug Baert’s journey in children’s ministry began in the most ordinary of places: Sunday school. What started as volunteering at his local church with a big heart to see kids walking with Jesus, has since grown into a global program reaching families around the world. Baert never imagined he’d lead a
children’s media ministry. When Faithville’s founder first encouraged him to take the helm of the long-running program where he volunteered, Baert resisted for years. Eventually, he felt God’s unmistakable call. In 2019, he stepped into the role as CEO and executive producer with the vision to meet children where they spend the most time today—online. “I wanted to see the ministry shift from an exclusively broadcast-oriented focus to more engagement with the digital landscape at large,” Baert said. “For us, it was being present in the digital playground.”
ICYMI: Troy A. Miller in the Daily Caller | "America's New Appetite For Faith: Christian Media is Trending" In his recent commentary for the Daily Caller, Troy A. Miller, president & CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB), highlights America’s growing hunger for faith and the pivotal role of Christian media in meeting it: "America is a country of paradox. "On any given weekend, thousands line the beaches of California for mass baptisms, even as courtrooms fill with cases challenging religious liberty. "Record numbers of young men are returning to church. Bible sales are booming. Celebrities are openly thanking Jesus on national television while teachers are
pressured to keep faith out of classrooms and historians seek to rewrite the nation’s founding as irredeemably flawed. "The tale of two worldviews—clashing daily in the national conversation. "Yet America is not drifting further into a post-Christian future; we are witnessing signs of spiritual return."
