We're looking for stallholders for the inaugural Textile and Craft Supplies Destash Market in Casey on Saturday 17 October.

5,000 new plants for National Tree Day
Despite the chilly weather, hundreds of Casey volunteers rolled up their sleeves to plant 5,000 trees in Cranbourne West for National Tree Day on 26 July.
The planting will help create important habitat for local wildlife and form part of the evolving nature corridor linking to Brooklyn Greens Reserve.
The community's enthusiasm was evident, with registrations fully booked for the event. The effort was also supported by 77 local schools and kindergartens, which took part in their own planting activities using plants supplied through Council's free giveaway program.

Native and indigenous plant sale + bonus talk Join the Australian Plant Society Cardinia region (APS-CR) for a special event at our September plant sale. Guest speaker, Phillip Johnson will talk about sustainable garden design using Australian native plants. He is passionate about greening our cities, recreating habitat and connecting people to nature. Phillip is one of Australia’s most creative, landscape designers and the first Australian to win the coveted ‘Best in Show’ award at the International Chelsea Flower Show, now replicated as the ‘Chelsea Australian Garden’ at the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens in Olinda. |

Quick Response Grants Always open
This grant now supports local connection activities that bring people together in new ways. Funding of up to $1,500 is available for community organisations to run small-scale events and activities that encourage participation from the wider community and build new connections between people and groups across Casey.
Stolen Generations Truth Telling Grants (Community Broadcasting Foundation) Closes 1 September 2026
This new grant supports First Nations media makers to develop and document survivor centred, commemorative focused stories (e.g. in the form of podcasts, radio series, documentary, video, animation) exploring cultural themes and truth-telling relating to Stolen Generations.
Sprout Grants (Hamer Sprout Fund) Closes 30 September 2026
This annual grant supports smaller organisations and projects that promote environmental education, encourage environmental action, support sustainability, and foster collaboration among young environmental leaders.
