PFC helping raise awareness for funding
toward net zero during COP 15 in MontrealAs a member of the Worldwide Initiative for Grantmaker Support – WINGS – PFC took part in a World Economic Forum and Salesforce.org-sponsored event,
held on Tuesday December 13, in the context of COP15 (UN Biodiversity Conference) in Montréal, entitled: SCALING SMARTER PHILANTHROPIC CATALYTIC FUNDING FOR A NET ZERO, NATURE POSITIVE WORLD. This activity is part of the framework of a global challenge to be announced at WEF's next annual meeting at Davos, seeking to raise awareness on the need to increase catalytic giving for climate and nature, in the hopes that philanthropy can play a powerful role in aggregating, unlocking and scaling action across the public-private spectrum to mobilize resources towards promising areas of intervention. This challenge builds on leading
efforts by organizations across the world and ClimateWork’s latest report signaling that less than 2% of total global giving goes to climate and nature.
